Early Life
Scott Thompson, better known as Carrot Top, was born on February 25, 1965, in Rockledge, Florida. His father was a NASA engineer, and Carrot Top is the youngest son in the family. He graduated in 1983 from Cocoa High School, where he played drums in the marching and concert bands. His bright red hair earned him the nickname Carrot Top from a local swim coach. After high school, he pursued a degree in Marketing at Florida Atlantic University, starting his amateur stand-up career as a freshman at open-mic nights.
