What is Crystal Hefner’s Net Worth?
Known as Crystal Harris, Crystal Hefner is a television personality, singer, and American glamor model who holds a net worth of $4 million. She was the third and final spouse of Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine. Among her prominent modeling roles, she was named Playboy Playmate of the Month in December 2009. Recently, in early 2024, Hefner attracted media attention with her memoir titled “Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself,” where she reveals her troubling experiences with misogyny and sexual abuse at the Playboy Mansion.
Los Angeles Home
Hugh Hefner purchased a Los Angeles residence for $5 million in April 2013. Following his passing, Crystal inherited this home. She put the house on the market in January 2018 for $7.2 million but ended up selling it for $5 million in January 2019.
Early Life and Education
Crystal Hefner was born Crystal Harris on April 29, 1986, in Lake Havasu, Arizona, to British parents Lee and Ray, the latter being a singer-songwriter. After spending her early years near Birmingham in England, she relocated with her parents to San Diego, California, at the age of seven. Crystal studied psychology at San Diego State University for higher education.
Modeling and Television Career
Joining Playboy in the late 2000s, Hefner made her debut as “Co-ed of the Week” on the Playboy website in 2008, subsequently being named Playboy Playmate of the Month in December 2009. That same year, she appeared in the final season of E!’s reality series “The Girls Next Door,” which focused on Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends living with him at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles.
Other Ventures
In spring 2010, Hefner entered into a recording contract with Organica Music Group, part of Universal Music Group. A few years later, she collaborated with Vanessa Bryce, the Australian designer and owner of Veve Glamor Swimwear, to co-design a swimwear line. Additionally, she partnered with Rhonda Shear to create a collection of intimates and loungewear. Hefner is also known to engage in the buying and selling of rental properties.
Relationship with Hugh Hefner
Beginning her relationship with Hugh Hefner, the Playboy publisher, in early 2009, she joined him as one of his girlfriends, alongside twin sisters and porn stars Kristina and Karissa Shannon. With an age difference of 60 years, the couple got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2010 but called off the engagement just five days before their planned wedding in mid-2011. However, they eventually reconciled and wed on New Year’s Eve in 2012, which made Crystal Hefner the third wife of the Playboy icon. They remained a couple until Hugh Hefner’s death in 2017.

Health Issues
In 2016, Hefner revealed on social media that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease and exposure to toxic mold. However, she later realized thatHer chronic fatigue and brain fog were reportedly caused by her toxic breast implants, which she eventually had removed, leading to some relief from her symptoms. However, in 2020, Hefner mentioned that a fat transfer procedure related to her plastic surgery nearly resulted in her death.
Memoir
In early 2024, Hefner attracted renewed attention with the publication of her tell-all memoir, “Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.” Throughout the book, she confirms allegations regarding the Playboy Mansion’s toxic atmosphere, which was noted for its misogyny and sexual abuse. Hefner described feeling “imprisoned” during her stay at the Mansion, and in an interview with the Guardian, she revealed that she was constantly engaging in “mind games” to survive. Although “Only Say Good Things” became a New York Times Bestseller, it was marked with a dagger symbol, reflecting the Times’ belief that suspicious methods, such as bulk purchases, had contributed to its bestseller status.
