Jensen Ross Ackles was born on March 1, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, and he was raised in Richardson, Texas, alongside his mother Donna, father Alan (an actor), older brother Joshua, and younger sister Mackenzie. Jensen attended Dartmouth Elementary School, Apollo Junior High School, and LV Berkner High School, where he graduated in 1996. Starting his modeling career at age four, he appeared in various television commercials for brands such as RadioShack, Nabisco, and Walmart during his youth. In high school, Ackles engaged in theater classes while also being a part of the lacrosse and baseball teams.

In 1995, Jensen made his television debut on “Wishbone,” followed by guest appearances on “Sweet Valley High” (1996) and “Cybill” (1997). He starred in eight episodes of the NBC sitcom “Mr. Rhodes” from 1996 to 1997 before landing the role of Eric Brady on “Days of Our Lives” in 1997, a part he played for three years. In 1998, “TV Guide” recognized him as one of the “12 Hottest New Stars.” After leaving “Days of Our Lives,” he played actor Eddie G. Robinson in the TV movie “Blonde” (2001), which was centered around Marilyn Monroe. From 2018 to 2020, Harris had a recurring role as Sister Jo / Anael on “Supernatural,” and in 2020, the couple launched the production company Chaos Machine Productions.
