Career
While stripping at Atlanta’s Onyx Club, Hernandez was discovered by Stevie J. She joined the cast for the inaugural season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta in 2012, portraying Stevie J’s new artist. Their romantic involvement caused discord with Stevie’s girlfriend and fellow cast member, Mimi Faust, leading to a love triangle that became the show’s focal point. Hernandez remained on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta for six seasons, contributing to its status as one of VH1’s top-rated programs.
Throughout her time on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Hernandez released several singles infused with dancehall and reggaeton influences. In 2016, she co-starred with Stevie in the spin-off series Stevie J & Joseline: Go Hollywood. The subsequent year, she featured in her own special, Joseline’s Special Delivery, showcasing the birth of her child with Stevie J.
Amid rising tensions with creator Mona Scott-Young and the show’s producers, Hernandez chose to leave Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta during the reunion taping of the sixth season on June 1, 2017.

In January 2018, it emerged that Hernandez was working on a new reality show titled Joseline Takes Miami. However, on March 4, 2019, reports indicated that the show experienced production issues, leading to reshoots requested by the network. Ultimately, the show never aired.
In October 2019, Joseline entered into a streaming agreement to create, produce, and star in her own reality
Franchise show: Joseline’s Cabaret: Miami debuted on January 19, 2020. In May 2020, casting for the second season of Joseline’s Cabaret commenced under Joseline’s direction.
Joseline rejoined the Love & Hip Hop franchise in December 2019, becoming part of the cast for the third season of Love & Hip Hop: Miami, which launched in early January 2020.
In February 2020, both Joseline and her boyfriend, Balistic Beats, participated in Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition. During the season finale on April 9, Beats proposed to Hernandez in front of their fellow castmates from the show.
Personal Life
Identifying as bisexual, Joseline Hernandez has expressed her equal attraction to both men and women, not favoring one gender over the other.
Often referred to as “The Puerto Rican Princess.”
One of her brothers lives with autism.
In 2013, Hernandez and Stevie J claimed to have tied the knot. However, three years later, Stevie J confessed that their marriage was staged for publicity. Later that year, Joseline clarified that they were in a long-term relationship but had never been married legally. Their breakup was highlighted during the fifth season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
During the reunion filming for the fifth season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Hernandez disclosed her pregnancy with Stevie’s sixth child. Their daughter, Bonnie Bella, was born on December 28, 2016. Joseline and Stevie J have been involved in a prolonged custody battle concerning their daughter Bonnie Bella.
In May 2019, Stevie J accused Joseline of preventing him from seeing or contacting their daughter for over a month. He expressed concerns in a legal filing regarding his daughter’s safety and overall well-being, suggesting that Joseline was an unfit parent. He claimed to be more financially secure and indicated that his family, including singer Faith Evans, would provide a better environment for their young child. He also requested child support from Joseline. Prior to the custody conflicts, Joseline mentioned on social media that Stevie showed minimal interest in their child. The situation intensified in late July 2019 when Stevie was set to gain custody of Bonnie Bella from July 28 to August 11. However, when he attempted to collect her in Miami, Joseline flew to Los Angeles with Bonnie Bella. A warrant for Joseline’s arrest was issued until she consented to hand the child over to her father. Joseline returned to Miami with her daughter, and Bonnie Bella was turned over to Stevie’s adult daughter. Stevie J was awarded sole custody until their next court hearing on August 15, 2019.

In November 2019, primary custody of Bonnie Bella was granted to Stevie J, while Joseline received visitation rights. The court also determined that Stevie J no longer needed to provide child support to her. Joseline learned of this decision during her time on Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition, where she emotionally expressed feeling as if her life was unraveling. Luckily, this arrangement was temporary, allowing Joseline to regain custody so that Bonnie Bella could attend school in Florida, her mother’s home state. This arrangement, still excluding Stevie J from child support, lasted until February 2020. As of this writing, the former couple continues to engage in court battles.
Hernandez went public with her relationship with music producer Robin Ingouma, better known as Ballistic Beats, in April 2018. In 2020, they became engaged.
On December 25, 2020, Hernandez and Beats are set to get married.
In early June 2020, Hernandez utilized her Instagram account to express encouragement to those protesting against police brutality towards black individuals. She stated: “I wanted to send everybody out there love and positivity. I’ve been doing a lot of praying. I’ve been praying for the United States of America, the whole wide world. The president to soften up his heart. That’s daily routine every day. To pray for all the protesters. To pray for all the people that’s out there fighting the everyday fight to make things change for all black children, for all the black community, the Hispanic community that are like myself, Afro Latinos. We love you guys stay safe out there. Just keep the prayers up. Just keep the prayers up, alright.”

In 2019, Hernandez faced a lawsuit from the upscale Miami apartment complex where she resides for overdue rent. According to Beach Place Apartments, they left a notice demanding the overdue rent at her apartment door, but she did not respond. She owed a total of $2,375, including her landlord’s attorney fees. It was reported that Hernandez’s landlord decided to withdraw the lawsuit against her. By the time the landlords chose to dismiss the case, Hernandez had not yet replied to the lawsuit in court.
