The Net Worth of Boosie Badazz

Find out about Boosie Badazz’s financial status. This American rapper, also known as Lil Boosie, holds a net worth of $2 million. He began his career as part of the group Concentration Camp before venturing out on his own. His notable hits include “Zoom” (feat. Yung Joc), “Wipe Me Down” (feat. Foxx and Webbie), “Better Believe It” (feat. Webbie and Young Jeezy), and “Show Da World” (with Webbie feat. Kiara). Notably, he was part of the track “Independent” (feat. Lil Phat), which secured the #1 position on the US Rap chart.

Early Days of Boosie Badazz

Boosie Badazz was born as Torrence Hatch on November 2, 1982, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The neighborhood where Lil Boosie grew up was notorious for its high level of danger, with local police often reluctant to patrol the area. Tragically, Boosie was raised without a father following his dad’s tragic death. He turned to rap at the young age of 14 as an escape from the daily violence and chaos of his turbulent home life.

His Career Journey

Boosie’s musical journey began with his debut album “Youngest Of Da Camp” in 2000, which peaked at #96 on the Billboard R&B charts. Subsequent releases include the 2002 album “For My Thugz” and 2006’s “Bad Azz”, which claimed the #1 spot on the Billboard rap charts.

In 2008, he founded his own record label, Bad Azz Entertainment. Even during a stint in jail due to drug charges, Boosie managed to release his fourth album, “Incarcerated”. Remarkably, he also obtained his GED while incarcerated. After his early release in March 2014, he rebranded himself as Boosie Badazz. His first album under the new alias, “Touch Down 2 Cause Hell” (2015), reached impressive positions on various charts. A string of successful albums followed, including “BooPac” (2017), “Boosie Blues Cafe” (2018), “Badazz 3.5” (2019), and several others, culminating in the recent releases in 2023. Among his latest works are the albums “First Day Back”, “Best Album of 2023”, and “Goin Thru Some Thangs”. His latest single, “Ungrateful”, delivers some pointed lyrics about his daughter and her mother.

His Personal Side

Boosie is a father to eight children from six different women, with three of the children being from his long-time girlfriend Walnita Decuir. Notably, Walnita made headlines in 2010 for attempting to smuggle narcotics to Boosie while he was in jail.

In December 2020, Boosie announced his intention to sue Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for $20 million. This legal action stemmed from Boosie’s banishment from Instagram, a move he claimed cost him numerous business opportunities, potentially totaling $20 million in losses. While the lawsuit filing had not occurred at the time of his statement, it remained uncertain if Boosie would follow through with the suit.

On his 38th birthday in November 14, 2020, Boosie was shot in the leg following his attendance at a candlelight vigil for rapper MO3 in Dallas. Initially, there were concerns that his leg might require amputation, but on November 22, Boosie announced that he would be attending a special…

Arrested and imprisoned on multiple occasions, Boosie faced several charges. In 2010, he was indicted for first-degree murder and possession with intent to distribute narcotics. Prosecutors later suggested his involvement in “at least five other murders.” While acquitted of the murder charge, Boosie was convicted on the narcotics charges and received an eight-year state prison sentence.

Released from prison in 2014 due to successful arguments by his attorneys that he had been framed by informants. He remained on parole until 2018. In July 2022, Boosie was detained and charged with possession of marijuana during a traffic stop.

Controversies

Criticism erupted in February 2020 when Boosie made offensive remarks towards Dwyane Wade’s 12-year-old transgender daughter.

In May 2020, Boosie faced backlash for a now-deleted Instagram video where he allegedly boasted about compensating an adult woman to engage in sexual activity with his underage nephew.

Further controversy surrounded Boosie in October 2021 when he targeted Lil Nas X in an anti-gay Twitter rant, prompting him to suggest Lil Nas X take his own life, resulting in the post’s removal by Twitter.
