Career

Beginning his career as a dancer with Suncoast Calendar Men in the early 1990s, Consuelos landed a role on “All My Children” in 1995. He played Mateo Santos in 104 episodes of the soap opera, where his future wife, Kelly Ripa, portrayed his love interest, Hayley Vaughan. Mark received various accolades for his performance, making a brief return to his character in 2010 for the show’s 40th anniversary. Both he and Kelly departed from “All My Children” in the early 2000s when Ripa decided to concentrate on her role in “Live! with Regis and Kelly,” during which Consuelos has guest co-hosted over 90 times.
