Early Life

Born Paul Michael Levesque on July 27, 1969, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Triple H experienced his first wrestling match in 1974, which featured Chief Jay Strongbow. He participated in baseball and basketball at Nashua South High School. At 14, he began bodybuilding to emulate the professional wrestlers he admired on television. He graduated high school in 1987 and continued competing in bodybuilding events, winning the Mr. Teenage New Hampshire title in 1988 at age 19. While working as a gym manager in Nashua, he met world champion Ted Arcidi, who was then affiliated with WWE. Through Arcidi’s influence, Triple H connected with Killer Kowalski, a former wrestler running a pro wrestling school in Massachusetts. In 1992, Levesque relocated to Malden, Massachusetts, to attend Kowalski’s school, where his peers included future WWF icon Chyna.

Career

In 1992, Triple H made his professional wrestling debut against Flying Tony Roy, adopting the ring name Terra Ryzing, and secured a victory. In July of the same year, he captured the IWF Heavyweight Championship by defeating Mad Dog Richard. In 1994, Levesque signed a one-year contract with World Championship Wrestling. During his initial televised match, he portrayed a villain named Terror Risin’, triumphing over Keith Cole. He subsequently changed his ring name to Terra Ryzing for a few months before rebranding himself as Jean-Paul Levesque, adopting a French accent as part of his character’s persona.

Levesque sought a meeting with Vince McMahon to pursue a career in his league, but initially, McMahon did not express interest in him. However, after watching Levesque’s performance at Starrcade, he was sufficiently impressed to extend an opportunity.an offer was extended, Levesque transitioned to the WWE in January 1995. Personal Life

On October 25, 2003, Triple H tied the knot with Stephanie McMahon, who is the daughter of WWE’s owner, Vince McMahon. Together, they have three daughters: Aurora Rose Levesque (born 2006), Murphy Claire Levesque (born 2008), and Vaughn Evelyn Levesque (born 2010).

Prior to that, he was wed to the late wrestler Chyna from 1996 to 2000.
