What is Tyga’s net worth?
The American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, television personality, and social media sensation Tyga has a net worth estimated at $8 million. The meaning behind his stage name, “Tyga,” is “Thank You God Always.” The California-born artist has rapidly ascended to the upper ranks of the hip-hop industry.
After his highly successful mixtapes, he secured a record deal with Young Money Entertainment in 2007. One of his initial tracks, the collaboration with Chris Brown titled “Deuces,” received a Grammy Award nomination for “Best Rap/Sung” Collaboration. Subsequently, he released another album that achieved moderate success, generating two Top 40 hits and three additional Top 100 songs.
Tyga is best known musically for his popular tracks like “Faded” and “Rack City,” among others. On a personal note, he gained notoriety for his previous relationship with Kylie Jenner and his child with model Blac Chyna.
Beyond his musical endeavors, Tyga has amassed considerable wealth through the adult social network OnlyFans, where he was reported to be the fifth highest-earning personality at one point. In about a year’s time, he earned approximately $8 million on the platform.

Financial & Legal Problems
Over the years, Tyga has encountered various financial and tax-related challenges.
In 2011, he leased a Malibu property for $16,000 per month. The landlord, Gholamreza Rezai, initiated a lawsuit against Tyga in 2012, listing both the rapper and Tyga Music as defendants. The claim asserted that Tyga signed a one-year lease in June 2011 but failed to pay rent starting in September. Tyga explained that he intended to vacate the premises that month due to fans frequently visiting. However, contracts are binding, which led the landlord to file for unpaid rent.
Along with the overdue rent, Rezai sought compensation for damages inflicted on the property by Tyga. Court documents suggest that Tyga severely damaged the house, including its hardwood floors, gate, and showers. Additionally, he installed a stripper pole in the master bedroom and tampered with the intercom system. The total amount sought by the landlord was $480,000.
Tyga was scheduled for a hearing in Santa Monica on August 8, 2016, but he did not attend, resulting in an arrest warrant being issued.
In September 2015, Tyga received a bill from the state of California for $19,000 in unpaid taxes. The previous year, the IRS had charged him with an unpaid tax bill amounting to $120,000.
Reports emerged in late February 2016 stating that Tyga’s G-Wagon was being repossessed, as he had allegedly missed multiple payments.
In April 2016, both his Lamborghini Aventador and 2014 Bentley Mulsanne were reportedly repossessed by a company named Choice Motor Credit, with Tyga having an outstanding balance of $357,350.77 on the Lamborghini.
In January 2019, Tyga’s rented Maybach faced repossession. Further legal troubles arose in March 2019 when a rental car company filed a lawsuit against him for approximately $130,000 concerning a 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider and a 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost that had been leased back in 2016 and subsequently repossessed.

Cash Money Royalties Lawsuit
In August 2018, Tyga took legal action against Cash Money Records along with its sub-label, Young Money Entertainment, due to unpaid royalties. His lawsuit demanded “no less than” $10 million in damages to settle the matter.
According to Tyga, he entered into a contract in 2009 to create two albums for Young Money. Those albums, Hotel California and Careless World: Rise of the Last King, achieved considerable financial success; however, Tyga alleges that Young Money and its founder Lil Wayne underpaid him by “significant sums.”
Tyga asserts that he signed a new agreement with both Young Money and Cash Money to resolve the outstanding royalties, yet the labels purportedly continued to deny him any payments.
Last Kings Lawsuit
In June 2015, a woman named Chuon Guen Lee filed a lawsuit against Tyga, claiming that in January 2013, she co-founded the clothing line Last Kings with the rapper. Guen Lee alleges that Tyga committed to promoting the brand and leveraging his celebrity status to help it enter popular retail chains like Tilly’s. However, as time has passed, this promotion never materialized. To make matters worse, the lawsuit claims that Tyga appropriated merchandise worth half a million dollars and established a competing company with another partner, Egypt Kings. Guen Lee is pursuing Tyga and Egypt Kings for $1.6 million.
In response to the legal claim, a spokesperson for Tyga stated: “These, like other allegations, are entirely unfounded. This was a business relationship that soured and concluded last year. We learned about the complaint via TMZ and are aware that some individuals will continuously attempt to exploit Tyga’s success.”

Early Life
Tyga, born Micheal Ray Nguyen-Stevenson on November 19, 1989, in Los Angeles, has Vietnamese and Jamaican ancestry. He spent his formative years in Compton, a Los Angeles neighborhood, until he was about 11, when he alleges that his family relocated to the suburb of Gardena. We refer to it as his “claim” because in December 2012, footage from an unfinished television program named “Bustas,” filmed when he was 14, was leaked. In a segment from the show, Tyga mentioned residing in a “well-to-do” home in the San Fernando Valley, claiming his parents owned a Range Rover rather than living in the less affluent areas of Compton and Gardena.

Career
Tyga’s first independent album, “No Introduction,” debuted on June 10, 2008, featuring the single “Coconut Juice” with his cousin Travie McCoy. Another track from this album, “Diamond Life,” was featured in the video games “Need for Speed: Undercover” and “Madden NFL 2009,” and was also included in the 2009 movie “Fighting.”
Shortly after, he signed with Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment. Following this, he was included in the Young Money track “Bedrock” and released the mixtape “Fan of a Fan.” Collaborators on this mixtape included Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Lil Wayne, DJ Ill Will, DJ Rockstar, and Kevin McCall. The lead single “Deuces” reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts.
His second studio album, “Careless World: Rise of the Last King,” came out in February 2012, spawning hits such as “Rack City,” “Faded,” “Far Away,” and “Make It Nasty.” In March 2013, he released his third album, “Hotel California,” which featured prominent artists like Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and Wiz Khalifa. His fourth album, “The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty,” released in June 2015, saw comparatively low sales with just 5,000 records sold. He followed this with a fifth album in July 2017 and a sixth in February 2018. Despite experiencing a slump in sales, with over 600,000 albums sold globally and 12 million digital singles, Tyga’s single “Taste,” featuring Offset, peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2018. This marked his first Top 40 hit since “Ayo” with Chris Brown in 2015, and it served as the lead single for his seventh album, “Legendary,” released in June 2019.

Personal Life
In early October 2011, Tyga met Blac Chyna at Chris Brown’s “F.A.M.E.” tour after-party, held at the King of Diamonds club in Miami. They officially became a couple a month after meeting, and their son, King Cairo Stevenson, was born in October 2012. The couple got engaged in December 2012 but separated in 2014.
Tyga had a long-term relationship with Kylie Jenner, which began just days after her 18th birthday, although they had reportedly been together since she was 16. Their relationship ended in April 2017.

Real Estate
It has been widely reported over the years that Tyga owns a mansion worth $6.5 million situated in Calabasas, California. Allegedly, he bought it for Blac Chyna when their son was born. However, this claim is false. Although Tyga has resided in several mansions in Calabasas, all of them have been rented.
In fact, Tyga has not always been the perfect tenant in these properties. One of his former landlords filed a lawsuit against him in June 2015 for failing to pay rent amounting to $80,000. With added penalties and interest, that sum reached $124,000. Additionally, in July 2015, another landlord sued Tyga for falling behind on $50,000 in rent for a different house in Calabasas.
In 2020, Tyga finally purchased a home, paying $3.9 million for a lakefront residence spanning 5,700 square feet in Indio, California. In June 2023, he listed this mansion for sale at $5.9 million, but reduced the price to $5.5 million the following month. He ultimately accepted an offer of $5.1 million in August 2023. Interestingly, at the point of sale, Zillow indicated the property was in “Pre-foreclosure,” and further details revealed: “The lender initiated foreclosure proceedings on this property because the owner(s) were in default on their loan obligations.“
The data encompasses the years 2023 and 2024, with projections extending into 2025 and 2026. Furthermore, forecast data has been broadened to include 2027 and 2028.
