With a net worth estimated at $2 million, Yasmine Bleeth is an American actress best recognized for her role as Caroline Holden on the television show “Baywatch” (1993–1997). She also portrayed Ryan Fenelli on “Ryan’s Hope” (1985–1989), LeeAnn Demerest on “One Life to Live” (1991–1993), and Inspector Caitlin Cross on “Nash Bridges” (1998–2000). Yasmine’s film appearances include “BASEketball” (1998) and “Undercover Angel” (1999), while her latest credit was in the 2003 TV movie “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.”
Early Life
Born Yasmine Amanda Bleeth on June 14, 1968, in New York City, her mother Carina was a model and her father Philip ran a business. At just 10 months old, Yasmine made her debut in a commercial for Johnson & Johnson’s No More Tears baby shampoo. She attended the United Nations International School in New York and has two siblings, Tristan and Miles.
Career
Yasmine began her career at the age of 6 when she appeared on “Candid Camera” and in a Max Factor advertisement. It was during this campaign, which featured model Cristina Ferrare, that she caught the interest of fashion photographer Francesco Scavullo, who later included Yasmine and her mother in his book “Scavullo Women.” Her film career commenced with the 1983 movie “Hey Babe!,” and in 1985, Yasmine took on the role of Ryan Fenelli on the ABC soap opera “Ryan’s Hope,” totaling 96 episodes by its conclusion in 1989. Following her mother’s passing in November 1989 due to breast cancer, Bleeth took a break from the industry to process her loss. The first project she undertook after this period was portraying LeeAnn Demerest on “One Life to Live,” a role she held from 1991 to 1993. In 1993, she made a guest appearance on “Herman’s Head” before securing the iconic part of Caroline Holden on “Baywatch,” where she remained until 1997 and later reprised in the TV movies “Baywatch the Movie: Forbidden Paradise” (1995) and “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding” (2003) as well as an episode of the spinoff “Baywatch Nights” in 1996. During her time on “Baywatch,” she was featured among “People” magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” and “FHM” magazine’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World.”
She also acted in the 1994 movie “The Force,” the TV movies “A Face to Die For” and “Talk to Me” in 1996, and appeared as a guest star on “Boy Meets World” (1995) and “The Naked Truth” (1997). In 1996, she headlined the film “Heaven or Vegas,” and in 1998, appeared alongside Trey Parker and Matt Stone from “South Park” in the comedy “BASEketball.” From 1998 to 2000, she played Inspector Caitlin Cross on CBS’s “Nash Bridges,” sharing the screen with Don Johnson and Cheech Marin. In 1999, she had roles in “Coming Soon” and “Undercover Angel.” Additionally, she guest-starred on shows like “Veronica’s Closet” (1998) and “V.I.P.” (2000), and appeared in several TV movies including “The Lake” (1998), “Ultimate Deception” (1999), “It Came from the Sky” (1999), “Road Rage” (1999), “Goodbye Casanova” (2000), and “Hidden War” (2000). In 2000, Bleeth starred as Heather Lane-Williams in the Aaron Spelling-created series “Titans,” which aired for a single season on NBC, and in 2003, she had a role in “Game Over.” Moreover, she has been featured in the 1995 documentary “The World of James Bond” and has appeared on various talk shows like “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
Baywatch Salary
Nicole Eggert disclosed in the 2024 docuseries, “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun,” that the average remuneration for each cast member during the series was $3,500 per episode. Generally, there were 22 episodes each season. This resulted in approximately $77,000 in earnings for the cast members per season. Although these figures equate to about double today’s amount when considering inflation, they still represented a small fraction of the immense popularity and profitability of the show. Interestingly, actual California lifeguards likely garnered more in annual salary, especially with overtime pay and additional benefits. Currently, some senior California lifeguards reportedly make over $500,000 annually ($150,000 in base salary, $250,000 in overtime, and $110,000 in other benefits and perks).

Personal Life
Yasmine encountered Paul Cerrito at the Promises Rehabilitation Clinic, which she entered voluntarily to address her cocaine dependency; they tied the knot on August 25, 2002. Reflecting on her meeting with Cerrito, she mentioned, “They say you shouldn’t get into any relationship in the first year of sobriety — particularly with someone in the program, but Paul and I fell in love immediately.” In 2001, after driving onto a median strip in Michigan, Bleeth was apprehended by police. Officers discovered “four syringes containing a liquid form of cocaine and a small plastic bag with cocaine residue” in her purse. Following a warrant to search her hotel room, further drug paraphernalia and cocaine were uncovered. Two months later, Bleeth entered a plea bargain, pled guilty to driving while impaired and possessing less than 25 grams of cocaine. She was sentenced to two years of probation and required to complete 100 hours of community service. In April 2003, Yasmine wrote an article for “Glamour” titled “Back from My Drugs Hell,” where she spoke about her cocaine addiction, her recovery journey, and how “consciously trying to stay off drugs is now part of [her] life and always will be.”
As a spokesperson, Bleeth participated in the 1998 Lee National Denim Day campaign, raising $5 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Additionally, she represented the charity and collaborated with the Ford Motor Company to launch the Race for the Cure. In 1995, Yasmine appeared on “Celebrity Jeopardy!” and chose to donate her winnings of $10,000 to Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Research.
Award Nominations
Bleeth has received nominations for two “Soap Opera Digest” Awards. She was nominated for Outstanding Youth Actor/Actress on a Daytime or Prime Time Serial for “Ryan’s Hope” in 1986, and in 1993, she was nominated as the Hottest Female Star for “One Life to Live.”
